What Aurora's been eating @ 6- 9 months... Photobomb!

Aurora is nine months old now and her food adventures are full blown! We're off purees and 'baby food' entirely. And we've moved on to cut up fruits, veggies, beans, cereal puffs and toddler snacks!! Get ready for some pictures!!
A few things she's had over the last few months:

Happy Baby cereal puffs... TONS of them.
Peas!

Grapes (cut up, now she eats them whole)
Roasted pears!
Mango!!
Barley teething biscuits
Attempting her own spoon...
Almost there....
Never mind... hands are quicker!
Cheddar puffs!
A WHOLE banana!!
Black beans!
Also, for anyone who goes to a buffet or food court and sees steamed carrots as a side and wonders (like I used to) Who the heck just wants to eat steamed carrots.... well, the answer is Aurora.
Aurora wants to eat the heck out of those carrots.
Snack time at the park. Gerber puffs.
Oh yeah, and Aura also wants to eat books....

  1. LOL....looks like she loves to eat everything including the book :). Teething yet?

  2. Oh yeah, she's always chewing on everything! She's got her bottom two teeth and I have a feeling the top ones are on their way in!

  3. Looks like lots of healthy food except for the book.

  4. Oh my goodness she is beautiful! I love her little appetite and how she doesn't seem to be too picky. Of course, at that age, many children will eat just about anything because they are checking out the new flavor or texture. My girls are now 6 and 2 and while I can still get my 2 year old to eat many fruits and vegetables it's like pulling teeth to get my 6yr old to eat them. (and she ate a lot of them up until she was about 4...then she became very picky!)

That's when I started using the deceptively delicious cookbook and would sneak pureed fruits and veggies into her meals.

  6. You have the cutest little girl. Glad she's not a picky eater like mine was/is. She's 15 now & the only vegetable I can get her to eat is corn.

  9. Awww, I remember when my little one loved those teething biscuits. Very effective but sometimes it just fills them up before a meal:( Make sure to take tons of pics because they grow up very fast.

    Enjoy the mommyhood moments.

    Wishing you a wonderful week,

  10. Hehe!! Adorable! At least she likes her fruits and veggies! My daughter is 20 months old and she is a meat-and-potatoes kind of gal. She will occasionally eat a banana, and if the moon is in the correct phase and the stars have aligned properly, she might eat a strawberry.

She rejects blueberries outright (she just throws them on the floor), she can't stand grapes (who doesn't love GRAPES, for crying out loud???)

But give the gal some salmon, a chicken leg or ground beef and she's all over it! LOL

Funny how kids are! My son's favorite snack used to be prunes! You know... the Del Monte ones that come in the giant can? My daughter's favorite snack is... get this... AN EGG! And it must be prepared as a flat patty in the microwave in a little dish that makes it into a round squishy thing that she can walk around and nibble on. Yikes!!

Anyway, I'm stopping by from voiceBoks to share some comment love! Aurora is adorable! Enjoy her... the time goes by so fast!

  19. Ahhhhh, I love all of that munching! My kids used to eat all of this yummy, exotic stuff, and now all they want is buttered pasta! You got her to eat BEANS! Pure awesomeness. And she gets good fiber out of those books, ya know...

  21. Thanks ladies! Yeah she eats just about everything I put in front of her. The only thing she's refused so far was pureed edamame. She took a couple bites but wasn't having it. I think halved edamame will go over a little better... she'll eat anything if she can feed herself!
