Aurora's new buddy!

After a bit of consideration, I've decided to babysit a friend's son three days a week. She was looking for daycare at a time that perfectly fit our schedule, I was looking to earn a little extra money and I figured this way Aurora could make a new friend. It was a little rough at first. He wasn't used to playing with other kids and she wasn't used to sharing toys. After the first few days though, things settled down and they seem to be getting used to the idea. Here's a few pictures I managed to snag in between the chaos!

Absolute best site I've found to compare textbook prices.

As most of you probably know, I'm attending an online university to get my bachelor's degree. I'm lucky that most of my coursebooks are e-books and I don't have to buy them. However, there have been a few classes which required a book which I had to purchase. Right now I'm taking a child psychology class and, while we have access to the e-book, I'm starting to think I'd be better off with a hard copy. There is a TON of reading we need to do and staring at a screen for hours on end is not at all comfortable.

Anyway, the point is, while I was trying to find a copy of this book, I realized how crazy expensive textbooks are!! Luckily, I've been able to sell most of mine back and recoup a little bit of the expense, but the initial investment is still pretty inconvenient. I have a few go-to sources, like Amazon (who also allows you to rent textbooks). However, I just found an awesome site where you can compare the price of a book across several different websites. I can't even tell you how much time this saves! It's called Slugbooks and you can check it out here. You can search by title and/or ISBN, plus they have a neat feature which locates books specific to your school and class. Plus you can compare the price of buying, renting or digital access. If any of you are going to school and need to purchase your own textbooks, this is a great resource. You can thank me later!
